Ingredients
  

  • 4 large eggs (separated)
  • 100g granulated sugar (divided)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 60g all-purpose flour
  • 15g cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 200ml heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 150g fresh strawberries (finely chopped or puréed)
  • Powdered sugar
  • Fresh strawberry slices
  • Strawberry sauce

Instructions
 

  • Preparation Steps:
    Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
    Whip egg yolks and 50g sugar until creamy. Beat egg whites with the remaining sugar until stiff peaks form. Fold both mixtures together.
    Sift in flour and cornstarch, gently combine.
    Bake for 10-12 minutes, then cool on a towel to prevent cracking.
    Whip cream with powdered sugar and vanilla. Fold in strawberries.
    Unroll the cooled cake, spread with the strawberry filling, and roll back up.
    Dust with powdered sugar and garnish with strawberry slices.

Notes

Ensure the cake is fully cooled before rolling to avoid cracks. Experiment with different fillings for a personalized twist!
