Ingredients
  

  • For the Beef Marinade:
  • 500 g flank or sirloin beef thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • For the Sticky Sauce:
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp cornstarch optional, for thickening
  • Noodles & Stir-Fry:
  • 200 g egg noodles or udon noodles
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil divided
  • Optional: chopped green onions sesame seeds, chili flakes

Instructions
 

Marinate the Beef:

  • Toss the sliced beef in a mixture of soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger until evenly coated. Let marinate for 20–30 minutes.

Boil the Noodles:

  • Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce:

  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin, brown sugar, and water. For a thicker glaze, add a cornstarch slurry.

Sear the Beef:

  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a hot skillet. Add marinated beef and sear for 2–3 minutes until just cooked through. Remove and set aside.

Stir-Fry the Noodles:

  • Add remaining oil to the skillet. Toss in the cooked noodles and stir-fry for 1–2 minutes.

Combine Everything:

  • Return the beef to the skillet, pour in the sticky sauce, and toss everything together until the noodles are evenly coated and sticky.

Garnish & Serve:

  • Plate the noodles and top with green onions, sesame seeds, or chili flakes. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For extra umami, add a dash of oyster sauce or a splash of rice vinegar to the sauce. Want to up the veggies? Toss in bell peppers, snow peas, or shredded carrots during the stir-fry step!
