  • Mixing Bowl
  • Non-stick Frying Pan
  • Spatula or Tongs
  • Small Saucepan
  • Serving Plate
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Chicken wings
  • 3 tbsp Cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp (not full) Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • Lemon juice Juice of half
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 200 ml Tomato ketchup
  • 3 tbsp Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Hot sauce
  • 250 ml Honey
  • 3 tbsp Barbecue sauce
  • 150 g Starch

Instructions

  • Dry the Chicken Wings
Use a sharp knife to cut each wing into halves. Pat the pieces dry with a paper towel.
Mix starch, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika in a bowl. Add the wings and coat evenly. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  • Fry the Chicken Wings
Heat a non-stick frying pan until hot, then add the cooking oil and butter.
Place the wings in the pan, cover, and reduce the heat to low. Fry until golden brown on both sides, ensuring the meat is cooked through.
  • Make the Hot Honey Sauce
In the same pan, sauté the minced garlic briefly.
Add the ketchup, mustard, honey, hot sauce, lemon juice, and barbecue sauce. Stir and let the mixture boil.
  • Combine Wings and Sauce
Add the fried chicken wings to the sauce while still warm.
Toss to coat thoroughly, ensuring every wing is generously covered.
  • Serve and Decorate
Arrange the wings on a serving plate. Drizzle the remaining sauce on top.
Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped parsley for an extra touch of elegance.

Notes

For an extra crispy finish, ensure the wings are completely dry before coating them in the starch mixture. If you prefer a sweeter kick, feel free to add a little more honey to the sauce. Don’t forget to drizzle extra sauce on top after tossing the wings for that irresistible glossy shine!
