- 10 slices white sandwich bread crusts removed
- 100 g 3.5 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 large eggs
- ⅓ cup whole milk
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp butter for frying
- Powdered sugar & maple syrup for garnish and dipping
Flatten the Bread:Trim the crusts and use a rolling pin to gently flatten each slice of bread. Mix the Filling:Mix softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in a bowl until the texture is silky and smooth. Fill and Roll:Spread a spoonful of filling on one edge of the bread slice. Roll tightly. Prepare Egg Mixture:Whisk eggs, milk, and vanilla in a shallow bowl until fully blended and smooth. Dip the Rolls:Gently coat each roll-up in the egg mixture. Fry Until Golden:Heat butter in a non-stick skillet and cook each roll for 2–3 minutes, turning to brown all sides. Coat in Cinnamon Sugar:Mix cinnamon and sugar in a bowl. While still warm, dip the roll-ups into the mixture straight from the pan.
