Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (grated)
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter (cubed)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 2-3 tbsp cold water
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1/4 tsp mustard powder (optional)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preparation Steps:
    Make the Dough: Combine flour, cheddar, salt, garlic powder, and paprika. Add cold butter and blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually mix in cold water until dough forms.
    Shape Crackers: Roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness and cut into desired shapes. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
    Bake: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake crackers for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool.
    Make the Cheese Sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, then gradually add milk. Simmer until thickened, then stir in shredded cheddar and season with salt, pepper, and mustard powder.
